Meanwhile a new Sub Inspector Eapen Pappachen (Indrajeet) arrives in the village. She joins her father's plans to trap Madhavan by hook or crook. Rugmini (Kavya Madhavan), Pillai's daughter and Madhavans childhood friend returns home after her studies in the city. Madhavan is after Bhageerathan Pillai's life and time and again the encounters between them are hilarious. Madhavan was forced into the trade through circumstances caused by the callous money lender Bhageerathan Pillai ( Jagathy Sreekumar) who holds the title deed of his property pledged by Madhavan's father. Though a thief, Madhavan nicknamed Meesha, has ethics and it is well known that if he ever churned his moustache at somebody he is sure to be robbed that night. The story revolves around Madhavan (Dileep) a petty thief liked by all and sundry in a small village in Kerala. It has the humour, the songs, picturisation and the performances and a whole light feel about it to make it click. 'Meesha Madhavan' is a through and through entertainer released after a dearth of meaningful films in the Malayalam film Industry.
